Anjali Ganapathy
Fitness was not a path Anjali thought she’d take until she started experimenting with Classical Pilates.
From a 10-year career in strategy and brand marketing, Anjali Ganapathy found new roots as an entrepreneur and chef behind her food and catering brand PigOut, an ode to her Coorg roots. Amid balancing a young thriving business, she signed up as a client with Pilates for Wellbeing studio in 2015.
Fast forward, two years Anjali decided to further her passion for the practice and signed on for the Teacher Trainer certification. She explains, “Classical Pilates has changed how I look at fitness, and the human form. It has taught me that it is essential to embrace, enjoy and protect what we are born with. The information and the way the practice is taught, gives one awareness and ownership of their physical and mental state, leaving you stronger in both body and mind.”
While she continues to manage her business, teaching and practicing Pilates has become an important ritual she looks forward to. She says, Pilates has brought an intentional sense of calm and balance to her life, unlike any other form of workout she has incorporated before.

“The transformational abilities of Pilates – from introducing people to their form, to watching them heal and change – is an immensely satisfying aspect of teaching” she concludes.
Through the course and as a trainer, Anjali believes she has come out on the other side, physically and mentally stronger and more prepared for all that lies ahead.
During her spare time, she enjoys travelling with family, friends and spending time with her cats.
Sandhya Muralidharan

Sandhya’s choice to become a fitness instructor was not a planned one, however the efforts to get rid of post-pregnancy weight got her into activities like jogging, weight training and group exercise classes. Eventually the enthusiasm, an aspiration for movement science and the desire to help others experience the benefits of movement, motivated her to look beyond, and get certified as a fitness trainer by RIA [Reebok Instructors Alliance].

Eventually the enthusiasm, an aspiration for movement science and the desire to help others experience the benefits of movement, motivated her to look beyond, and get certified as a fitness trainer by RIA [Reebok Instructors Alliance].
While working with various gyms, she realized that she enjoyed taking classes and that made her seek more opportunities to gain knowledge in various exercise forms.
She first came across Pilates in one of the workshops she attended and found the exercises to be just right for body. After a few years of working as a group instructor she decided to focus more on Pilates and joined a standalone contemporary Pilates studio in Delhi. Two years of teaching and training there helped her to learn more about the method.
Sandhya decided to move her base to Bangalore where she started working as a freelance instructor. Though she was very keen on undergoing a more comprehensive program, it wasn’t then available in India. In April 2017 when Pilates for Wellbeing, Bangalore launched the first TPC certification in Classical Pilates, and she did not hesitate to grab the opportunity.
Now, after a few years of graduating from the program, she believes that all her past experiences in this field were actually preparing her for this moment practice. As a practitioner, she believes Pilates targets all aspects of fitness and unlike other exercise forms its focus on addressing the strength, mobility, stability and flexibility of the spine makes it so relevant for our current lifestyles. As a teacher, she feels ready more than ever to teach others, because the Classical Pilates Method provides her with the right tools to help individuals to attain their highest movement potential without further injury to their bodies.
As a dedicated practitioner and committed Pilates teacher, Sandhya also believes that to get healthier and stronger we must never abuse the body. If we treat it with respect, it will reward you by collaborating with you in leaving your pains behind as you make your body more healthy, more mobile, and more strong despite any previous injuries. Through Classical Pilates, Sandhya learned and wants others to experience the freedom that comes with practicing seamless exercise movements in a beautiful, intricate flow leading to an all-natural and balanced development of the body.
